This survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best employers in the state of South Carolina, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce and business culture. The list is made up of 60 finalists that are split between small/medium employers and large employers with 250 or more employees.
Companies from across the state were nominated for the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in South Carolina. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics, representing 25% of the score. The second part represented 75% of the score and consisted of an anonymous employee survey to measure the employee experience.
“I am especially proud to see our company make this year’s list of the Best Places to Work in South Carolina,” said Jim Wanner, chief expectations officer at KeyMark. “This award is particularly special because it involves anonymous support from our employees and requires a majority of employees to participate. I was most interested in the feedback that our employees would provide in the survey to help us identify our strengths, weaknesses and opportunities. Our extremely talented staff, combined with our customer-focused culture, is the driving force behind our success. Here at KeyMark, we’ve found that if you’re a great company to work for, you’re probably a great company to work with.”
